Driver Assessment and Training

We are delighted to announce Krystele Hurcum, Occupational Therapist at Recovery Station, Hunter office is available to provide driver assessment and training.

Driving a car is an essential activity of daily life in Australia. It allows us to participant in the community, go shopping, get to work and get out and about as we please. The complexity of driving is often underestimated. Drivers are required to coordinate vision, movement and higher function skills, such as planning and cognition. Often a medical condition, accident or the ageing process can impact a person’s safe ability to drive. This can place the driver at risk, as well as the community at large if an accident were to occur.

An Occupational Therapist provides a practical driving assessment to make decisions about a person’s fitness to drive. If you have concerns about someone’s driving and need an independent assessment call us now.
