Fiona’s Good News Story

Fiona suffered a stroke 12 years ago, the impact of which has affected her ability to participate in everyday activities.

Through the advent of the NDIS Fiona has been able to engage in various supports and the allied health services at Recovery Station where her goals are now becoming a reality. Fiona’s therapy goals have included improving range of movement in her left arm, and increasing mobility to engage in activities with her grandchildren.

Therapy has included regular Physiotherapy sessions to work on mobility, a home exercise program and Occupational Therapy sessions for hand and upper limb therapy. Living in a rural location, Fiona finds that having appointments in one location on the same day is very convenient. She also enjoys the benefit of having clinicians who work in the same organisation and collaborate for better overall care outcomes.

“Recovery Station staff are professional, welcoming and always happy to assist.”

We are privileged to help Fiona in her journey and are excited about the progress she is making.
