About Recovery Station

We are one of the largest private providers of allied health professionals for disability, mental health and aged care services across the Hunter, Central Coast, Sydney and the Illawarra regions.

We’ve been in the Allied Health industry for nearly 20 years, and you don’t get that sort of longevity without the best of the best employees. We know that when we support our team, it means that they support our clients, which is what we are all about.

Here are some key traits of Recovery Station:

  • We love what we do because every role in RS contributes to making a positive difference in the lives of others.
  • Our team is a collaboration of passionate, like-minded colleagues that facilitates both personal and professional growth.
  • Keeping client-focused care at the heart of what we do challenges us to seek innovative ways to deliver the best possible support.

Joining Recovery Station means aligning with a company that believes in empowering you and your future.

Your day-to-day

This role will be based from our Erina office and is available as either full-time or part-time. Depending where you are based, we can tailor your caseload to service clients within either the Upper or Lower Central Coast. Your admin support team will work with you to ensure you aren’t zigzagging around the Coast and you’ll have clients to see either in the office, on telehealth or close to home.

You will provide community and clinic-based services for the aged and clients with neurological conditions and/or a disability. Day-to-day, you will focus on individuals funded under the Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA), community aged care packages and the NDIS.

Your compassionate nature and enjoyment of helping others will assist people in working toward their goals and improving their quality of life and safety to live life to the fullest.

Over time and in consultation with you, you will be taught how to confidently:

  • Provide high level clinical services including client assessment and treatment, therapy, equipment prescription, home assessment and modifications
  • Run various educational sessions and therapy programs
  • Produce high standard, comprehensive Occupational Therapy reports
  • If you have a foundation in residential aged care, paediatrics or hospital work and are curious about making the move to an adult, community caseload – reach out and let us know as we have a supportive team that is happy to help you make the transition.

We are also open to discussing Visa Sponsorship and a relocation bonus for candidates relocating to the Hunter or Central Coast.

To be considered for this role, you must be registered with AHPRA, possess a driver’s licence with access to your own reliable vehicle and be willing to access a Working with Children Check and NDIS Workers Screening (a new form of police check). We are also requesting that the successful candidate be comfortable following NSW Health COVID and flu vaccination requirements.

Here’s how we support you

To nurture a happy, healthy and productive culture, we know we need to listen to you, understand what drives you, and help facilitate the development you desire.
Thus far, we’ve learned that our team benefits most from the following:

  • Flexibility to schedule work around family, other employment or personal commitments (no weekend work)
  • A culture of care, compassion and service to the community
  • Remuneration packages that reflect your experience plus the option of performance bonuses + RDO incentives
  • Freedom to work how best suits you eg writing reports from home or in the office with colleagues
  • Discretion to utilise telehealth where appropriate (Laptop provided + paid phone/data allowance)
  • Office support to assist with admin and diary scheduling
  • Free, convenient parking so it’s easy to come into the office
  • Dedicated wellness program (the Feel Good Factor) including EAP and social catch-ups such as team drinks, lunches, cooking + art classes, trivia and birthday events to have fun and celebrate success and so much more

Your Career Development

Here are just a few of the ways that we support your career development:

  • An extensive training program that includes individualised CPD plans towards your special interest areas for clinical specialisation.
  • You’ll be a part of our all-company training day, where we bring the entire business together and invite external presenters for each discipline and speakers to motivate the team (we’ve even had Kurt Fearnley speak!)
  • Leadership pathways for clinicians seeking career progression. This could include increased responsibilities: student placements, supervision or an increase in caseload complexities.
  • Ongoing clinical supervisory and peer review, including the QA of reports and in-service training sessions.
  • Case liaison with other multi-disciplinary team members to broaden your clinical knowledge and provide holistic care to our clients.
  • A clinically diverse caseload to ensure variety and learning opportunities.
