The NDIS provides support for people up to 65 years old who have a permanent and significant disability that affects their ability to take part in everyday activities. It provides direct access to a pool of funds that provides supports for people with disability to live the life they want. Each person’s budget for services and supports is based on an assessment of their current and future needs.
Recovery Station has been involved since the start of the NDIS trial in the Hunter region of NSW (July 2013) and is well positioned to assist participants navigate and achieve amazing and significant improvements in their life despite disability.

Recovery Station provides pre-planning assistance to help prepare for when people are meeting with a NDIS care planner for the first time. A specialist assessment can help identify and determine goals and describe barriers people face in achieving these due to their disability or condition. We are a Registered Provider with the NDIS for the following categories:
Improved Daily Living – therapy assessment, training, development and/or therapy to assist in the development of, or increase in skills for independence and community participation. Service can be delivered in groups or individually.
Assistive Technology – This category includes all aids or equipment supports that assist participants to live independently or assist a carer to support the participant. It also includes related assessment, set-up and training support items. Driving assessments also come under this category.
Home – This category includes home modifications.
