At Recovery Station, our therapeutic alliance starts well before the first appointment. It begins with a conversation and the team behind that conversation is our dedicated Intake and Referrals crew.
Whether you’re a new client, a referrer, or transitioning between services, chances are your first contact will be with one of these friendly and experienced team members: Sophie, Breanna and Candee pictured left to right with their manager Jess on the far left.
They’re the people carefully matching each client with the clinician best suited to support their needs. They consider everything from goals and preferences to location and experience to help set every individual up for success.

What do you enjoy most about matching clinicians with clients?
I love creating a personalised connection that genuinely supports someone’s 🥰 wellbeing. It’s incredibly rewarding to match a client’s needs with a clinician whose skills and personality align. When that clicks, you see people really thrive.
What do you enjoy outside of work?
Bree’s all about making memories with her two boys. She’d say it’s exploring the 🌳 outdoors, but they’ll tell you it’s all about 🕹️Timezone.
Candee – Lower Hunter
How would you describe your role in one sentence?
I’m the primary point of contact between Recovery Station and the broader community, 💙 fostering strong relationships with referrers and ensuring timely, efficient access to our services.

What’s the best part of your job?
Being that first point of support and helping individuals feel heard 🫶 and guiding them towards the care they need.
