Commonly Asked Questions
Leaving Uni and starting your career can be daunting and we get that. We thought we’d put together some answers to commonly asked questions when it comes to our Graduate Program to help you understand what we have on offer.
What is the level of support that I’ll receive?
You’ll be allocated your own clinician who will provide mentoring and extensive supervision. You’ll receive field supervision and shadowing so you can observe experienced clinicians’ methods and test your new skills in a safe environment. Plus, you’ll be part of the grad team, so you’ll be connecting with other grads in exactly the same space as you.
Will I have minimum billable hours?
It’s important to understand that this is a community-based role and you will service a diverse & rewarding caseload, but you won’t be expected to have minimum hours or to attend client visits in the community until you are ready. This will be discussed with your Supervisor as you build your client base.
What does my long-term career pathway look like?
That is up to you! But what we’ll do is support you to ensure that you’re working toward and achieving your goals. This includes choosing your own specialities, undertaking training and having a caseload that suits your chosen career path.
What about remuneration?
Recovery Station offers a competitive remuneration package which we’re happy to discuss with you.
Is CPD included?
Absolutely! We know that when you’re starting your career, ongoing training and professional development is everything. In our program, you will have a full 12 months of training that is mapped out so you know what training you’ll be receiving and when. Our senior team is still receiving comprehensive training long after their grad program is finished!
- A comprehensive induction program
- Regular (and encouraged) connection to peers and mentors
