Allied Health Services where you come first

Each week the Recovery Station team provides Allied Health Services within participant’s homes or their preferred location. Our clients are diverse. From older adults that need help to stay safely in their home, to those living with a disability, permanent injury or experiencing emotional or psychological difficulties.

You can be assured that our highly experienced, multidisciplinary team of clinicians have the specialised skills and experiences which will allow them to cater to your specific needs.  

Our clinicians will support you to create meaningful goals and work with you to achieve them. And, our exceptional reporting means that as your needs or goals change, our clinicians are able to respond quickly to ensure your plan,  support and desired outcomes adapt with them.

Our Services

Occupational Therapy

Your OT will help you to identify your goals and motivations and then develop recommendations as part of your ongoing therapy plan. OT works with you on any or all of your day to day living activities, which can include how you look after yourself, your home, and how you participate in your community.

Physiotherapy

Your Physiotherapist will work with you on the challenges to your movement that may be present from birth, acquired through life-changing events or are a result of the ageing process. Our team is all about supporting you to be more active, independent and to have more freedom in your life.

Mental Health Occupational Therapy

Our team can provide you with the tools to support you to improve your mental health and wellbeing and regain control of your life. Our clients include those who are challenged by anxiety, depression, schizophrenia, PTSD, bipolar disorder, personality disorders and more.

Speech Pathology

Your speech pathologist has been trained to assess and provide treatment in the areas of communication (this includes expressive language, understanding, speech, articulation, fluency and voice), and swallowing(which is known as dysphagia).

Exercise Physiology

Our team can prescribe a comprehensive course of exercises for fitness, rehabilitation, lifestyle, or behaviour modification to improve strength and, balance, prevents falls and improve not only your health and wellbeing, but also your independence with your daily activities.

Driving Assessments

Our assessment will determine if you need to modify your driving habits, modify your vehicle, have additional time and support to learn the complex skills involved with driving, modify your car to allow community access or to identify other transport options.

Allied Health Assistants

By engaging our Allied Health Assistants as part of your overall therapy plan, you will not only make the most of your funding, but you will also benefit from more regular therapy.

Dietetics

Our Dietitians work with you to improve your diet and nutrition in order to manage medical conditions and work toward a healthier lifestyle, in your own home.

Assistive Technology and Home Modifications

Your OT can complete an assessment to determine the nature of assistive technology and/or home modifications in alignment with your goals, and can assist with prescription of these items including applications to the relevant funding bodies when required.

Psychology

Your psychologist can assess and diagnose a range of problems, developing strategies and evidence-based treatments, and offering guidance and support.
